Bernard "Sonny" Mars (1914-1985) was a Chicago radio personality in the late 1940s and 1950s and was one of the first to do a local comedy television and radio show. In the 1950s Mars was the host of the ''Sonny Mars Show,'' which was broadcast on WCFL-AM, and he hosted the ''Take Another Look'' TV show in 1951 and 1952. He also entertained at nightclubs in New York City, Las Vegas and throughout Chicago. His nightclub act was what is known in the trade as a tummler, in which he worked a crowd, Don Rickles style.
