After finishing his studies he moved back to Peru where he formed various jazz ensembles, wrote a score and performed with international musicians passing through Lima. In 1970 he got signed by Sono Radio to work as their music director. In the following year he worked on various productions and formed his Orquesta Contemporánea to mix Jazz, Soul, Funk and Latin with new arrangements and a big orchestra with over 40 musicians.
