She has made herself known as a cabaret artist, actor, singer and composer. She has performed on theater stages, in TV shows and in movies. She has been praised for the imaginary music language she created. Malou has released a number of singles and albums, both in Sweden and internationally.

She was the bassist of NQB between 1970 and 1972.
