Pussybox was a rock band from Wangen (Allgäu/Southern Germany). They started as 5 piece alternative rock band and later changed their style to a sort of elctro glam pop.

The band was formed in 1997 by Michi Lebherz, Marco Eckle and Danny Lutz and started as a three piece rock formation. All members were heavily active in the Wangen metal and punk rock scene before and were to start a sound which would soon roll over their home town and later on all over Germany‘s alternative clubs and stages.
As a three piece Pussybox recorded a demo which was completed by Bernd Spahlinger singing. The outfit was completed by Jochen Hartinger who added additional keyboard sounds and percussion live.

After recording their first full length „Super Eight“ in 1998 Pussybox quickly evolved in playing gigs in their hometown and got some good reputation. „Super Eight“ was followed by the next EP „Devil‘s Hair“ which showed the band‘s experimental side for the first time. The title track found its way on the „The New, The Classic & The Unexplored“-Sampler released by Germany‘s most favourite music magazine for alternative music… Visions!

Pussybox went straight forward playing gigs, winning competitions and found their way sharing the stage on the ultimate Bizarre and Southside festival with bands like Foo Fighters, Placebo, Deftones, Fu Manchu, Bush, Nine Inch Nails and many more 90ies legends.

In 2000 the next EP „Real Love“ got radio airplay and a video clip for the title song was done by some talented movie students in Stuttgart. Finally the clip got its premiere on Viva 2 which was the most important music TV station in Germany back then.

After their second full length „Anguish Means Control“ Pussybox quit in 2004.
