American country singer, songwriter, and producer .
Born January 20, 1919 - Died: August 20, 1982.
Member of the WFBM Indiana Hoedown, WLW Midwestern Hayride and the WSB Barn Dance.
He was active in the Country music scene in the 1950s. As a producer mostly active in the 1960s.
He charted 8 times as a songwriter between 1949 and 1964 on the U.S. charts, with his top song charting twice in 1955--"Daddy-O" (co-written by Charlie Gore and Buford Abner)--the Fontane Sisters (#11) and Bonnie Lou (#14).
