            Nuova Era
Effective period / Period of releases: 1989 - 1995
Members: Walter Pini, Gianluca Lavacchi, Enrico Giordani, Alex Camaiti
One of the leading Italian prog bands in the late 1980s / early 1990s, Nuova Era modelled themselves on 1970s prog styles, adding modern technolgy and a distinct style of their own, featuring a lot of keyboards and Italian language vocals. Their immature debut L'Ultimo Viaggio was followed by two critically acclaimed concept albums: Dopo L'Infinito and Io E Il Tempo after which the band dropped of the scene for a couple of years before reappearing with a final album in 1995 and splitting up. A few anniversary reformations exist, one coinciding with a retrospective album simply called Nuova Era in 2010 and then a new comeback album in 2016.
