Biography
Richard Pyne
UK based singer-songwriter Richard Pyne started out in music as a guitarist for the reformed goth rock group Restoration II. When the band split in 1994 he ventured forward with the short-lived project Prophecy (in which he also played guitar) before landing on his feet helming the gothic rock troupe Killing Miranda. After three successful albums, as well as tours across the world supporting the likes of Paradise Lost, K.M. called it a day in 2007. This led "Filthy Rikky" to create electronic industrial project UberByte the same year, gaining even more notoriety within the alternative music scene.
By the 2010's Pyne had continued down the road of electronic music with the enigmatic side-project Kunoichi. This allowed him the freedom to create songs in the dubstep & glitch-hop genres and expose himself to a whole new scene, something that proved fruitful after Uberbyte's collapse partway through the decade.
Richard formed the Sheffield based alt. rock outfit Korsunnuz under the alias Rick Cage/Ricardo. In 2023 Killing Miranda drummer Belle Star passed away, leading Pyne to form the tribute concert Bellefest. The positive feedback led him to reform Killing Miranda for a series of reunion shows for "One Last shout of chaos", including Trashville in London for NYE 2023 alongside Vanity Kills and a slot at Sheffield's Resistanz Festival in Spring of 2024 (an event he performed at many years prior with Uberbyte).
