American country and rockabilly singer and songwriter.Born November 1, 1937 in South Paris, Maine .
Died July 25, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee (age of 83).
He was married to singer Molly Bee.
Best known for co-writting the 1962 classic country song, “Just Enough To Keep Me Hangin’ On" with Buddy Mize. Allen charted as a songwriter nine times between 1966 and 1984, with eight of them versions of "Hangin On'.
