Blues singer, who first recorded for Bluebird in 1938, followed by sessions for Vocalion, Columbia and Decca in 1939-1941. After World War II she recorded for Harmonia and Victor in 1946 and 1947, all in all 21 sides between 1938 and 1947. She was the niece of Jack Gee, Bessie Smith's husband.
