José Lito Maia, born in Elvas, Portugal (15th June 1964) was a Gipsy singer, celebrated by the theme "Vamos Embora Para Barbacena", a song that catapulted him to the successes of Portuguese popular music. The singer also claimed the authorship of "Na Minha Rua Mora Uma Sopeira" originally recorded by him in 2006 and re-recorded by the group Chave D'Ouro as
"Pai Da Criança (Quem Será)", a song that reached the tops of the best songs in Portugal in 2010. José Lito Maia, died in Portalegre, Portugal (25th January 2020).
