Tripsichord Music Box was an American psychedelic rock group of the late 1960s / early 1970s. They were managed and produced by Matthew Katz, who also worked with Jefferson Airplane, Moby Grape and It's A Beautiful Day. They evolved out of The Ban (1965-1966), then The Now (9) (1967), and then became Tripsichord Music Box (1968) when connecting with Katz and Marcus Uzilevsky (a.k.a. Rusty Evans) in San Francisco, California. Ultimately the band dropped the "Music Box." They released one self-titled album (along with a couple of singles) on the San Francisco Sound label, which received major-label release on Janus Records the following year.
