Ice

Effective period / Period of releases: 2020

Members: John Schaffer (4), Mike Saligoe, Jim Lee (9), Barry Crawford (3), Richard Strange (3)

Rock band from Indianapolis, IN. Formed in the late 1960s and disbanded in 1970.

ICE was one of the first Midwest bands to perform all original songs at shows. ICE performed mini Rock Operas, Acid Rock, Country and Rock N' Roll.

In 1970, the band recorded 10 original songs at 8-Track Studios in Chicago, only to break up shortly thereafter. Two of the tracks were eventually released as a 45 in 1972, but confusingly under a different band name, Zukus! The A-side of that single was featured on the Riding Easy Records compilation Brown Acid: The Ninth Trip, with the remaining tracks released in 2020 as a full length album on the Riding Easy label.
