Members: Dick Bentley, Don Binney

Australian jazz band consisting of students from Melbourne Grammar School. It seems to have existed during the period 1926-1928 during which is played in public and broadcast on the radio under the name The Footwarmers. The only record they made was issued as The Beachcombers (which was a name probably allocated by the record company) and the band may have been briefly reformed for charity purposes. By this time (1930) Benny Featherstone was already working as a professional musician (in the Joe Watson Band at the Green Mill) and some of the other members of the group were no longer active in music.
