Captain Tait steers the ship from his Rhodes-helm – his lyrics mapping out submerged landscapes of the human condition. Tait’s voice glides from Tom Waits to Vaudeville with many tasty tangents on the way. This whole is held, harmonised and hot-trotted by the trusty talents of Jones on trumpet, Constance on keys, percussion and glockenspiel, McElhinney on bass and Turnock on drums.
