Magda Neeld
Real name: Marjorie Neeld
Australian vocalist & songwriterStudied at the NSW Conservatorium. Went got London 1935 where she worked with Jack Hylton and was in the film "She Shall Have Music". Went to the U.S. with Hylton in Oct., 1935. After a short tour of Canada was back in UK July 1936. Appeared in the short film "Across Europe With Jack Hylton". Came back to Australia 193? where she was in the local production of "Hollywood Hotrel Revue" and later (1939) in the cast of "Wildflower". Returned to the U.S. in 1945 and was in "Bless The Bride" at the Adelphia Theatre, London in 1947 and appeared at the London Casino in 1951. Returned to Australia 1953. Composed the song "The Coo-ee Call" in 1954.
