Modern thrash/melodic death metal band from Vienna, Austria formed 2006. The quintet, featuring guitarists Hannes and Sid, bassist Radek, drummer Chris and vocalist Obimahan, were originally known as Staub & Schatten after forming in 2006. In a good move, the band changed their name and was soon after snatched up by Napalm Records. In 2008, Artas released their debut album, entitled ‘The Healing’ in 2008.
