ISRÄAL (official capitalization) is an improvistional sludge/drone/doom metal project from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2011, jammed once a week, completely improvised; played a few shows between 2011 and 2014 (also all improvised). In 2014 recorded self-titled album made up of a couple of sessions recorded in the jam room.
Ended in 2015.

Skye Klein (2020):
"About 6 years ago I used to travel to the city every Monday night, and we would gather for this ritual of experimentation / self-flagellation.

I played the drums, long time friends & collaborators Marcus and George played bass and guitar. It was rare that I did not end up with multiple wounds (self inflicted) In the end we had to put a stop to it, it was becoming detrimental to our own health and that of those around us."
