Eddie Lane
American violinist, bandleader, and songwriter.
He charted as a songwriter with "Bless You" by The Ink Spots in 1939, which landed at #15 in the U.S. (co-written by Don Baker). The song has been recorded by more than 30 artists since. He operated a nine-piece orchestra in the New York City area during the 1930s through the 1950s. Lane later went on to become managing director of the Berkshire Hotel.
