Tötal Harmönic Distörtion

Effective period / Period of releases: 2015

Ukrainian prog-thrash metal band Tötal Harmönic Distörtion (also known as T.H.D.) was founded in Kyiv in 2005. The core of the band's line-up consisted of Maksym Gerasymchuk's & Oleksa Kenda's guitar duo, and Rostyslav Yagodka on drums. Some vocalists and bass players were joining and leaving the band several times. In the beginning, the band kept on writing some material and performing at local gigs. n 2009 the guys have found a reliable friend and bassist in the person of Oleksii Prusov (ex-Infected, ex-DAZ Machine). Later on, at the end of summer 2011, the band's line-up became stable and gained even more power after its new frontman's entry - Octav Casian (ex-singer of the Moldovan metal legends Axident) took place at the microphone. Since then the band had an international status; T.H.D. keeps playing live shows, representing their debut album "Madkind" , which was released on October 27th, 2015. Musicians worked on this album distantly: all instrumental parts recorded in Kyiv, Ukraine, and vocal tracks were laid down in Chisinau, Moldova. The band amicably parted ways with Casian in 2020 and released the first single called "The Hedonic Curse" featuring new singer Dmytro Dyoshin on April 17th. New emotional hints and internal aggression differs this work from the band's previous material. The song will be part of the forthcoming band's second LP.
