In 1958, his band The Caribs accepted an offer to become the house band at the Glass Bucket Club in Kingston, Jamaica. In 1959, The Caribs became the first studio band for Island Records. The Caribs were also employed as the studio band for Federal Records. In 1968, Sindrey emigrated to the US, where he worked as a solo artist.
