Simon Tahamata

Real name: Simon Melkianus Tahamata

Simon Tahamata is a retired association football player who played his club career with [], Standard Liège, Feyenoord, Beerschot and Germinal Ekeren.

In 1979 he released a Schlager song titled "We gaan naar Rome" following the Netherlands qualification amongst the final eight at the UEFA Euro 1980.

He was the first player of Maluku descent to play for the Dutch national team.
