Richard Coleman

Real name: Ricardo Osvaldo Coleman

Effective period / Period of releases: 2011 - 2020

Born: April 01, 1963, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In 1980, formed his first group called "SIAM", along with Daniel Melero, Ricky Sáenz Paz, Javier Miranda and Ulises Butrón. They recorded some tracks but keep it them as unreleased until today.

Later, Coleman with Sáenz formed another band called "Metrópoli" in 1982, along with Ulises Butrón, Isabel De Sebastian and Celsa Mel Gowland

In 1983 he was asked by his longtime friend, Gustavo Cerati, to join Soda Stereo as second guitarist and nowadays is remember for that as the 4th Soda, a nickname shared with many other musicians related to the band.

In 1984, he finally closed the opportunity to join "Soda Stereo" and also put in standby his own band "Metrópoli". But then again along with Cerati, Fernando Samalea and Christian Basso, founded "Fricción".

After the release of the album "Soda Stereo - Nada Personal". Cerati leaves Fricción and at the end worked as producer meanwhile Gonzo Palacios and Celsa Mel Gowland joined them.

In 1985 he was called to join Miguel Mateos - Zas but after thinking about it a couple the days he rejected them and intermediately was called to join Charly Garcia band

In 1986, edit "Fricción - Consumación O Consumo" their first studio album, which was produced once again by Cerati. and he also made another collaboration with Soda Stereo, for the recording of "Soda Stereo - Signos".

In 1987, Fricción suffered another members changes and enter in the studio to recorded "Fricción - Para Terminar" , their second and final recording released back to 1988. but sadly the band was disbanded in 1989.

In January 1990, with Horacio "Gamexane" Villafañe (ex-La Sobrecarga and Todos Tus Muertos) founded Los 7 Delfines along with Braulio D'Aguirre and Ricky Sáenz Paz.

From 1992 to 2008. "Los 7 Delfines." published ten albums, sadly with several lineup changes, but always with Coleman and D'Aguirre as main members.

In 2009, released "Broadway", a live DVD, closing a chapter in the life of Coleman. Los 7 Delfines take a break.

Same year, he returned to his friend's side, Gustavo Cerati, for the tour of "Gustavo Cerati - Fuerza Natural" meanwhile he was working on his first solo album. "Richard Coleman - Siberia Country Club" that was published in 2011.

And in 2012 he released "Richard Coleman - A Song Is A Song Vol. 1", an album of covers.
