In January 1964, Felix Guignard becomes the musical director of this ensemble created in Guadeloupe under the name of Ensemble Tropicana de la Guadeloupe, based at the club "La Cocoteraie" directed by Mr. Michel Colas. In April 1964, departure for Martinique for the club "La Bananeraie" directed by Mr. Georges Brival and becomes the Ensemble Tropicana de la Martinique.

Do not confuse with Orchestre Tropicana D'Haiti.
