Jesse Crump
Jazz and blues pianist, organist and bandleader, born 1906 in Paris, Texas, died April 21, 1974.
Toured with Ida Cox, whom he married, in the late 1920s and early 1930s. From 1937 to 1951 he worked mostly in the area around Muncie, Indiana, then moved to California, where he recorded with Bob Scobey in 1956 and played with Marty Marsala in 1960.
