Real name: The Brunettes

Members: Michael O'Keefe (4), Jeff Rowe (5), Bucky Berg, Peter Marinelli, Joseph P Romano

Formed in 1979 from the ashes of early punk bands the Wirms and The Spys. The (original) Brunettes gathered a solid live reputation in the NYC punk/new wave circuit but never managed to release any recorded material. Their first actual release was in 2019 from an unearthed live recording of a 1980 show at Max's Kansas City. The band continues to play in the NY metro area as recently as 2021. Now often going by the name The Brunettes (NYC)
