Dale Crowley

Real name: Dr. Dale S. Crowley

American evangelist and author, including "Gems I Love to Share".
Born c.1899 Union City, Oklahoma. Died September 27, 1994 (95 years old).
He left a promising banking career to enter the Gospel ministry and was ordained by the First Baptist Church, Houston, Texas. He was affectionately known as "Washington's Radio Minister" and radio became his focus in 1941, once he was established. He often conducted three daily broadcasts and an hour-length Sunday program, "The Hour of Inspiration". Overall, he performed over 18,000 radio broadcasts in his career. He was the Director of National Bible Knowledge Assocation.
Dr. Crowley appeared as a guest preacher at churches, taught a Bible class and was editor of a monthly missionary publication, the Capital Voice. He was the author of nine books. Repeat broadcasts of his radio programs continued in Washington even after his death.
