Fictional characters, portrayed by Dutch comedians André van Duin and Corrie Van Gorp. Arie en Bep de Bok first appeared in Van Duin's theatre shows in the latter half of the 1970s. The odd couple's popularity ensured Van Duin and Van Gorp reprised their roles throughout the 1980s, culminating in the LP Feest Met Meneer En Mevrouw De Bok in 1981. After Van Duin quit theatre in favor of big TV shows in the 1990s, Meneer en Mevrouw De Bok were retired. They made a brief return in 2009, and once more in 2014, for the book presentation of Van Duin's autobiography De Komiek. Both Van Gorp and Van Duin released records under their own names, and only occasionally appeared on each other's records, although Van Duin did write several of Van Gorp's singles. Van Duin used the moniker Meneer de Bok only once outside of his appearances with Van Gorp. This was for TV performances of the 1981 hit single 'k Heb Hele Grote Bloemkoole, which became one of Van Duin's most popular songs.
