South African pianist/keyboardist, born 1957 in Natal.His professional career began with Sakhile in 1981, later joining Bayete for a ten-year stint. Other musicians he has worked with include Hugh Masekela, Dorothy Masuku, Letta Mbulu, Condry Ziqubu, and Miriam Makeba but it was not until 1999 that he released his own debut album, "Tales from the South".
