The Howling Fog is a 4-piece psych-shoegaze band from Adelaide. The band bleeds together washed guitar noise with haunting vocal melodies and produces a blend of swirling reverb-drenched sounds.

In October 2017 saw the release of their self-titled EP; a soundscape of atmospheric noise layered over embers of dying fuzz.

The follow-up EP 'Drifting' was released on December 1st, 2019 and displays how the band's gloomy shoegaze sound has evolved towards a grimy psych-rock aesthetic. Music that's good for playing over pints of stout and shots of whiskey at 3am.

The first track of the record “The Needle’s Falling” was released as a single in July, and a video to accompany it followed in October. Produced by local film-maker, Tim Carlier, the video is a swirling melange of footage captured during recording sessions, and live at the Grace Emily Hotel in Adelaide.
