Japanese shakuhachi player. He was shakuhachi apprentice to Katsuya Yokohama, graduate of NHK school of traditional music, honor graduate of composition and jazz theory at Berklee School of Music, and master of composition and third stream music at the New England School of Music. He is the first shakuhachi player to use circular breathing.
