BULLETVILLE performed original Country music in the classic honky tonk style. Originally formed as an offshoot of Magnolia Mountain, the band came into its own as a powerhouse live and studio outfit. The band featured MM's Mark Utley, Renée Frye, and Jeff Vanover, joined by drummer Brian Aylor, bassist Chris Cusentino, world-renowned keyboardist Ricky Nye and award-winning pedal steel guitarist Cameron Cochran. The band made its live debut in November 2012, and, with pedal steel player Jim Gaines, served as the backing band for half of 2013's Mark Utley, Bulletville - Four Chords And A Lie. Prior to the recording of 2015's Mark Utley, Bulletville - Bulletville, Cuz was replaced by Ken Kimbrell on bass, Todd Drake joined as drummer, and John Lang took over pedal steel duties. In late 2015, Frye left as co-vocalist and was not replaced. Beginning in 2016, the band was augmented by bassist Brian Mahan and drummers Paul Ellis and Bart Foster. In March of 2018, Utley, Vanover, Nye, Cochran, Mahan, and Aylor recorded Magnolia Mountain - False-Hearted Lover with producer Mike Ingram, live in one take at the Southgate House Revival. It was released as a digital-only single under the band name Magnolia Mountain in March 2018. Bulletville was then folded back into Magnolia Mountain.
