Biography
Cerebro Mágico
Real name: Cerebro Mágico
Its beginnings date back to 2005, when a band of friends from Pérez, a town attached to Rosario, Province of Santa Fe (Argentina); debuted in small zonal festivals under the name “Septiembre”, with a decidedly eclectic repertoire. They are: Elías Rampello on vocals, Emanuel “Toto” Legrestti on guitars and backing vocals, Fernando Dutto on bass, Mauricio Chemes on keyboards, guitar and backing vocals; and Teo Ruiz on drums. Months later and at the suggestion of the musician Rubén Goldín (member of Juan Carlos Baglietto's band), the group adopts its current name, Cerebro Mágico. In 2009 they released "Rock Pop", their first album with their own production, through UMI. Despite the fact that this material has very good songs, a particular musical composition and messages of social commitment, they fail to obtain the necessary significance. With the subsequent alliance with the Rosario musician Oski Borga and the media producer Martín Arribillaga they conclude in the choice of a more consistent repertoire and occupy the first places in the main rankings of the region. The song "Cola de Amor" by León Gieco is reversed and together with the own song "The Light of Your Eyes", Cerebro Mágico achieves the desired recognition. “La Luz de Tus Ojos”, with more than 1K views in its three publications on YouTube, was also recorded by various Santa Fe bands of different styles, also entered dance venues.
In 2014 and with a marked change in his musical style, enlisted in romantic pop and a lyric that entered the taste of a great region, Cerebro Mágico arrived with “Ángel Guardián” under his arm, released on the Barca label. It contains twelve songs, among them "The Light of Your Eyes", "Something Changed", "What Did You Do?" and “Duele” (the latter is a reversal of the Spanish band El Arrebato). The first cut is homonymous to the album. Members: Elías Rampello (voice), Emanuel “Toto” Legrestti (guitars and backing vocals), Fernando Dutto (bass), Mauricio Chemes (keyboards, guitar and backing vocals) and Pablo Ruiz (drums).
