Champion fiddler from Valley Center, Oklahoma.

In 1979, at age nineteen (and already an award-winning fiddler), Pritchard severed his middle finger and badly injured the fingers on either side in a power saw accident. A surgeon was able to successfully re-attach the finger, tendons and ligaments, and pin bones back together. Pritchard regained full use of the hand and went on to compete in (and win) numerous championships.
