In December 2020, Kunt (of Kunt And The Gang), performing with his newly formed punk band The Kunts, joined the race for the Christmas number one with "Boris Johnson Is a Fucking Cunt" (which reached number 5 in the festive charts). Since then they have released a number of singles (all reaching the top 20) including 'Boris Johnson is Still A Fucking Cunt', 'Prince Andrew Is A Sweaty Nonce' and 2022's 'Fuck The Tories'.
Since the original xmas single Kunt embarked on a rivalry against internet personality LadBaby, who since 2018 has held the number 1 xmas slot with his various sausage roll/food themed songs. Each novelty track was touted as being "all for charity", but Kunt & his crew weren't convinced, leading to shots being taken on either side within the many press outlets online and in print.
In 2023 the band attempted a new tactic to help them climb the charts wherein they changed their name to The Krown Jewelz for the single 'Scrap The Monarchy' and aided a puppet band named The Krackpots for their xmas single 'Proper Christmas', stating that as Ladbaby had decided to stop making festive songs that they too should follow suit.
Many of Kunt's previous works as Kunt And The Gang have since been replayed live under The Kunts, as well as re-recorded with the full band for newer members of the fanbase.
