Biography

Patrick Ebner
Klaus is married to Rosmarie. They have 2 sons, Patrick and Andreas. Klaus Ebner was born on 25.05.1955 (twin) and was the eldest of his 5 siblings. He felt very early on that music was in his blood and at the age of 15 he worked very hard for one of his greatest wishes – a keyboard. His sister Christine learned the guitar and his brother Dieter the drums. The children inherited their musical talent from their mother Blanka. She and her siblings also performed at a young age and sang together in the family choir. At that time, they practiced the hits of the time with heart in their old barn. A year later, they decided to perform together as a group. Klaus Ebner had an idea for the band name. "There are three of us. Need a modern name. From here you can see three mountain peaks – the Vaiolet Towers. Let's just call ourselves The Vaiolets." In 1971 they moved together to their present Home to Missiano below the oldest castle in South Tyrol – Hocheppan Castle. There was an old barn that had been converted into a snack bar – "the Vaioletskeller". The Vaiolets played there several times a week with great success. Her fans, young and old, came from near and far. That's how they were discovered by a record company in 1980. The first record sold very well. Even then, the Vaiolets were one of the most successful groups in South Tyrol. After almost 25 years, sister Christine left the group for family reasons. Soon Patrick was also part of the group. After many successful years together, Dieter also left the group. That's how Andreas Ebner came to the Vaiolets. The three of them then played successful years together at home and abroad. The Vaiolets completed television shows such as Melodies of the Mountains, Musikantenstadl, Achim's Hit Parade and Grand Prix of Folk Music. Until his tragic accident at work in 2014, Klaus played music together with his two sons. Since this stroke of fate, Klaus has been in a wheelchair and has been performing with Patrick and Andreas again – the success proves them right.
