Real name: Felipe Parraga

Felipe Párraga is a Venezuelan electronic music producer based in Bogotá, Colombia. His passion for electronic music began as a teenager, when he discovered the local rave scene in Caracas at the end of the last century - when DJs used to play just “rave” music. At that time in Caracas, you could hear different genres playing together from psy-trance to hardcore to drum & bass - all of this at one place on the same night. One genre in particular captured Párraga’s attention: London Acid Techno, and its exponents Chris Liberator, DAVE the Drummer, Guy Mcaffer aka The Geezer and so on. The Tb-303 was spot on! This music inspired him to start creating his own beats, patterns and acid riffs. After several years he began a career as a sound, music and video producer, with a formal education working for media and radio companies.

As the situation in Venezuela worsened, Párraga decided to move to Bogotá, where his parents had been living for several years. What he encountered there was a growing electronic music scene. He started going to bars and clubs and meeting new people; all of this was happening while he was still working on his own productions. At first he was focused on producing only techno and acid-techno, achieving several releases on different labels from countries like Spain (NXT recordings, Total Loss Recordings, Hxagrm Records), Portugal-Belgium (Bass- tune Records), Holland (New York Haunted) and other labels from Los Angeles and Italy on various artist compilation releases.

Currently, Párraga is trying to push Bogota's local scene forward as a music producer, live act, and also a collaborator with other artists. He has released music on different labels, from pounding techno to experimental and ambient music, always with an apocalyptical, sci-fi and psychedelic vision. He has appeared on the Colombian labels Isometric, Absence, Default Series, and most recently Íntimas Records, where he took a different approach to production style. Lately he has developed a taste for other electronic genres, such as Detroit electro, German EBM, and Brazilian Afro-House, making him more open to experimenting with multiple styles.
