Blues guitarist Harry "Big Daddy" Hypolite played for eight years with zydeco king Clifton Chenier. After Chenier's death in 1987, he played ten years with C.J. Chenier -- the elder Chenier's son.
He also played with his nephew's band, Nathan and the Zydeco Cha-Chas for one year.
In 2001, Hypolite released his first -- and only -- solo CD, "Louisiana Country Boy," recorded on APO Records of Salinas, Kansas.
