宝塚歌劇団

Real name: Takarazuka Revue Company

Takarazuka Revue Company, all-female musical theatre group founded in 1913 in Takarauka, Hyogo, Japan, under Hankyu Railways. Currently has five troupes (組, kumi):

Hanagumi (花組, Flower Troupe)
Tsukigumi (月組, Moon Troupe)
Yukigumi (雪組, Snow Troupe)
Hoshigumi (星組, Star Troupe)
Soragumi (宙組, Cosmos Troupe)

Actors go through a training system (宝塚音楽学校, Takarazuka Music School) and are assigned to be either "otokoyaku" (男役, male player) who always play male roles or "musumeyaku" (娘役, female player) who always play female roles (although otokoyaku do also play female roles, from time to time).
