Real name: Stjepan Jakševac

Stjepan Jakševac was a poet and a children´s story writer. He was born on the 16th of August 1916 in Brdovečki Sveti Križ, Croatia. He worked for many years as editor, narrator and playwriter for the ,,Radio Zagreb''. Jakševac is also the author of many songbooks - ,,Vesela godina'' (1969, Mladost, Zagreb), ,,Voli, ne voli, voli'' (1972, vlastita naklada), ,,Plava ptica'' (1980, Naša djeca, Zagreb), ,,Ima jedan razred'' (1981, Mladost, Zagreb), ,,Novogodišnji vlak'' (1981, Mladost, Zagreb), ,,Zlatna ptica sunca'' (1986., Mladost, Zagreb). He died in Zagreb on the 10th of May, 1994.
