Charles Atlas is a film director and video artist. He has been creating work for film, theatre, television, live performance and museums such as the Whitney, NY and the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris since the mid 70s.

Atlas spent 10 years as film-maker in residence for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. He also has collaborated with performers and choreographers such as Philippe Decoufle, Michael Clark, Marina Abramovic, Diamanda Galás, Leigh Bowery. Fennesz and Antony And The Johnsons.
