Alenia

Real name: Aleš Čačovič

Effective period / Period of releases: 1999 - 2006

Aleš Čačovič aka Alenia has been involved in music production since 1994. He started to collaborate with Torul under the Clockworx moniker early in 1992. Being among the pioneers of slovenian techno, this duo later appeared as Clox, Cloak Device and Channel Klirr on Absense and Matrix Music labels as well as a promising electronic live act in the evolving rave scene. Later on Aleš went to pursue his own style as a DJ and as a producer.
Following the years of defining his style, Aleš started putting out releases as ALENIA on German labels such as Fine Audio and Touchtone, yet it was the release on the Swiss SPEAKER ATTACK label in 2000, that put him in the visible spot on the techno map.
His breakthrough, however, came in 2001 with a series of releases on labels such as SPORE (UK), THULE (Island), SEISMIC (USA), TERMINAL M (Germany), ROTATION (UK), EUKATECH (UK), SUPERBRA (Switzerland), DEFINITION (Germany), KIAL (Slovenia), BOO (Australia), FLOOR (UK), MISSILE (UK) and others.
Today ALENIA is recognized as a prolific tech-funk producer, remixer and DJ and his ever-funky releases are welcomed by the biggest names in the DJ arena.
