Real name: Donald R. DeTaeye

Vocalist. DeTaeye (1932-2013) was a driver's education teacher at Rock Island High School in Rock Island, Illinois, at the time his only recording was released. He taught in the Rock Island school district for over 32 years, retiring in 1990. In addition to teaching, he coached football and wrestling. As a public servant, he was a member of the Moline (Illinois) school board and a Moline Township committee member from 1996 to 2012.
