Please, do not confuse with Bruckner Orchestra Linz active since 1967 to this day
Orchestra of the Großdeutscher Rundfunk in Linz, Großdeutsches Reich (now Austria), existing from 1942 to 1945. Its membership was drawn from the Linz Symphony Orchestra and various German radio orchestras, and first performed in 1943. It was dissolved after the war by US occupation forces.
Chief conductor: Georg Ludwig Jochum
Guest conductors: Clemens Krauss, Hans Knappertsbusch, Herbert von Karajan

The associated chorus was the Reichs-Bruckner-Chor.
