German conductor, composer and arranger (*Obhausen near Halle 21.09.1912 - 02.11.1993 Dachau).He attended the conservatories in Leipzig (Freese, Goitsch, Schumann) and Berlin (Knittel, Selter) and passed in 1942 from the master music examination. After that he worked as music master in Salzburg and in Prague. In 1947 he settled in Dachau, where he founded a boys' choir in 1951, from which Die Dachauer Knaben-Kapelle emerged in 1953, which he conducted until 1995.
