He began his career in 1955 as a singer in Riccardo Rauchi And His Orchestra. Since 1963 is engaged with Luigi Tenco. Since 1966, with 'Figlio unico''(''Only Child'') begins to make itself known to the public. With ''Luglio''(''July'') wins disk for summer 1968 and goes to No.1 in the charts: the song remains a 'big wheel' for decades to come. Ricardo will not be able to repeat that, in part because of the uncompetitive nature: since the early '70s his relationship with the song is very detached, and with much success by opening a fine coffee in the heart of Firenze.
