MERTA is a Finnish alternative rock band that was formed in 2017. Their music combines Finnish alternative rock, screams, and addictive pop melodies and their lyrics focus on everyday fears, uncertainty, and hope. Their first two singles "Virta Katkeaa" and "Kahden Rajalla" quickly rose to the Top 10 of the Viral 50 Finland Spotify playlist and from there on the band has gained more and more traction.
