Human Head Transplant was founded in 1984 as a renegade electronics trio, and continued to perform until the early 1990's. The Denver, Colorado based Human Head Transplant created a well-defined niche on the North American underground. Employing a unique blend of exotic rhythms, lush soundscapes and complex computer arrangements, HHT offered a dynamic tour-de-force performance style that enthralled audiences nationwide. With only a handful of releases to their credit, HHT functioned primarily as a live group, having performed over 50 concerts, media events and radio broadcasts with such noted acts as Einstürzende Neubauten, The Haters, Gerechtigkeits Liga, Monochrome Bleu, Crash Worship, Hunting Lodge, and Psychic TV. Their music was best described as the unity of chaos and the elegance, a sonic map charting the DMZ between tranquilly and turmoil.
