French conductor and composer, born January 10, 1910, in Lyon, died March 1, 1976, in Paris.Studied with Albert Roussel (composition), Charles Munch , Roger Désormière (orchestral conducting), and Vincent d'Indy (harmony). He graduated in 1928 with a first prize for violin and worked before the war especially as a composer. Then started his career as a conductor and guest conductor. He was the conductor of Orchestre Des Concerts Lamoureux from 1951 to 1957.
