Sandra Simões

Real name: Sandra Simões

Effective period / Period of releases: 1998

Sandra Simões is a little-known Christian pop/rock/MPB singer, who began her career in Christian music as one of the backing vocals of Katsbarnea in its original new wave phase together with Claudia Bastos Makuko, having recorded with them the albums "O Som que makes you spin" (1989) and "Katsbarnea/Extra" (1990). Years after the band's reformation and her departure, she would embark on a solo career, which was not very long in terms of number of releases, but yielded two fantastic albums where she reinterprets classic songs by singers and bands such as Troad, Actos 2, Mingo & Rod Mayer , Armando Filho, Asaph Borba and Ministério Life, Petra, among others. In addition to her two albums, she appeared in several compilations and works, such as the album "Calmo, Sereno e Tranquilo" by Leon Neto (2000), "O Maior Palhaço do Mundo" by Leon Neto (1997), and several compilations.
