Real name: Cornelis Liefeld

Born in Surinam; so he's not from Jamaica. They usually called him Nelis Liefeld. He was discovered in Holland as a bongo player-singer by Dutch songwriter Melle Weersma. He started his musical career with the orchestra of Juan Serrano, but het got best known for his version of the skifflehit "Last train to San Fernando" in 1957.
